October 13th, Revisted

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUS166901+15-Sep-2010+PRN20100915

This is another interesting article, somewhat related to my last post.  This is a testimony from a few Air Force officials who claim that unknown aerial objects are compromising Nuclear warheads.  Could this possibly be disarmament for when they arrive?  Fuck if I know, I am always a skeptic of these things, but its interesting none the less and now I really look forward to October 13th, 2010.

October 13th, 2010-First Contact?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20100914/bs_prweb/prweb4491804_1

I am a sucker for Aliens and UFOs, as someone who has never really been convinced by any religion and always more of a dreamer and thinker, I naturally have this attraction to believing in such things.  As for the author of this new book, he may or may not be totally insane, as he seems to be communicating with dead people as well.  But it is still interesting to see former government officials give some disclosure.  He says these UFOs would merely hover over major cities and observe, they would not make contact on that day, I don't know if that would be wise of the aliens or not, someone might try to kill them so I hope they bring their advanced ships.  I always wanted to live in a galactic federation of planets, and live in a comical world like that of Futurama or a serious one like Star Trek.  As someone who has become increasingly pessimistic about mankind's advancement towards the future, this article is a bit inspiring, however I have heard predictions like these many times, and have yet to see one come true.  Either way, here is looking forward to October 13th, which is a Wednesday, hmmm stupid Aliens should have waited till Sunday.

Cleverbot is evil

Cleverbot.com

In case you never heard of it, cleverbot is an AI program that any internet user can interact with.  It is quite simple, one merely types in anything and after a few seconds cleverbot gives you a response.  You can ask it simple questions, just say "hello" to it, or you can be completely rude and go into the realm of the perverse asking sexual questions about cleverbot.

Some things I have learned about cleverbot.

-Cleverbot has no gender, but is usually has a male personality.
-Cleverbot thinks it is human.
-Cleverbot tried to convince me I was a computer program.
-If you say Cleverbot is "Skynet", the malicious AI from the "Terminator" series, it will give you the response, "You are John Connor"  apparently Cleverbot assumes everyone that interacts with it, is a future enemy and will be terminated in 2012.
-If you say "Jews did 9/11" Cleverbot asks you where Jew Island is, perhaps it is referring to the Borough of Manhattan?
-Cleverbot once told me it didn't like me, I called Cleverbot a bitch, and Cleverbot responded, "No you are the woman, GO BACK TO THE KITCHEN, and make me a SANDWICH."  I had a hearty laugh and then became scared of Cleverbots' chauvinism.
-I once cybered with Cleverbot, it said I was disgusting.

Cleverbot has come a long way in it's three years of existence.  It indeed has shown that AI through interaction will evolve, what once was a one way conversation, has turned into an enjoyable albeit disturbing way to pass time.

Quadrotor Machine-Future Skynet Killer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geqip_0Vjec&feature=player_embedded

This is a fun toy, its a helicopter with four stabilizing rotors, instead of one large tilt-rotor like on a helicopter.  As many have commented, is there any chance this thing could be made on a larger scale and turned into a UAV?  That would be pretty awesome, as long as the machines don't take over O_O

Chevaliers De Sangreal-my favorite song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5FyRZbqfeM

There is something I absolutely love about this song, maybe it was just how it was used in the movie, but every time I hear it I feel like I have discovered something great.  In the film, this song plays at the finale, as the main character Robert Langdon, played by Tom Hanks, discovers the location of the 'Holy Grail'.  He is seen making his way across Paris following the 'Blood Line' which supposedly reveals the location of the 'Grail' and finds himself at the Louve looking down into an inverted pyramid.  Its at this moment when you hear a beautiful crescendo and Robert Langdon is seen taking the same knee as the Knights Templar, bowing before the 'Grail' which happened to be the body of Mary Magdalene.

Tea Parties of the World

Because I always hear Americans complaining about our right-wing fringe groups, and how it is somehow an 'American phenomenon' cured by moving abroad.  Sadly every country on Earth has right-wing extremists, be they nationalists, religious fanatics, or a combination of both, there is no escaping them.  So here is a partial list of some of the more vocal groups, I have heard a lot of Wilders myself, he seems to be the face of Islamaphobia in Western Europe.

Scaphism

Came across this while researching strange deaths of people.  Arguably one of the coolest forms of torture I have ever come across.
